Everton Former Players’ Foundation Media Day

The Everton Former Players’ Foundation (EFPF) hosted its media day ahead of the new Barclays Premier League season, and as media officer for the charity, I was responsible for organising former player appearances and conducting interviews for EFPF’s various media channels at Goodison Park to promote our fundraising activities.

The following interviews were completed on the day:

Everton Former Players’ Foundation (EFPF) interview Tom Gardner, who is the oldest known living Everton player at the age of 90. Gardner made only one appearance for Everton against Wolverhampton Wanderers in October 1947.

Everton Former Players’ Foundation (EFPF) interview former Blue Cliff Marshall at Goodison Park. The winger talks about his Goodison debut in the mid 1970s, playing alongside Bob Latchford, his move to America and his affection for Everton.

Everton Former Players’ Foundation’s Stuart Appleby interviews Goodison Park hero Gareth Farrelly

Everton Former Players’ Foundation interview Gareth Farrelly, the man who’s fantastic goal against Coventry City in 1998 helped Everton escape relegation on the final day of the season. Gareth discusses that famous strike, his Everton career, law degree from Edge Hill University and burgeoning career in sports law, among other topics.

Everton Former Players’ Foundation interview former Toffees winger Tony McNamara. Tony was a key part of the Everton team in the 1950s and discusses memories of playing for the club.

Everton Former Players’ Foundation interview 1984 FA Cup and 1985 League Championship winner, John Bailey. The former Everton defender remembers how he came to sign for the club, his debut and most memorable moments in a royal blue jersey.
